Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the EasyStep Junior app (“the app”) for iPhone and iPad and this website handle information. EasyStep Junior is designed for children and families, and we have built it to collect nothing about the people who use it.

1. Information we collect

None. The app does not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, locations, photos, contacts, or any other personal information. It does not use a device's camera, microphone or location.

2. Information stored on your device

To work, the app saves a small amount of information locally on your iPhone or iPad:

• Learner profiles: the nickname, avatar emoji, grade band and starting level you choose.
• Learning progress: which questions were answered, scores and daily activity.
• App settings, such as sound preferences.

This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. We cannot see it. You can remove a learner at any time from the app, and deleting the app removes all of its data. We suggest using a nickname or first name only for each learner.

3. Advertising and tracking

The app contains no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting services, and no third-party software that tracks users. We do not track users across other apps or websites.

4. Internet use

All questions are built into the app, so it works fully offline. The app only uses the internet when a grown-up chooses to open an outside link (such as our other apps on the App Store or this website). These links are protected by a grown-up check: a short puzzle that an adult must solve first.

5. Optional tip (in-app purchase)

The app includes an optional “Support us” tip, which unlocks nothing and is never required. If a parent chooses to tip, the payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment details. Purchases require the device owner's Apple ID confirmation.

6. Read aloud

The read-aloud feature uses Apple's built-in speech on your device. No audio or text is sent anywhere.

7. Children's privacy

Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, we have no children's information to share, sell or disclose. This approach is designed to be consistent with children's privacy laws such as COPPA (United States) and the GDPR (Europe and the UK).

8. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your device's IP address in order to deliver them, as part of normal web traffic. If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above before the change takes effect.
